EMPLOYMENT & PAYROLL

Employment and payroll service is through Boly:Welch, a third-party vendor to BeerQuest Walking Tours. You will be paid weekly on Fridays via direct deposit or check based on your preference.

Tour hours are to be submitted via the Post-Tour Report after each tour. Please submit reports within 24 hours of leading a tour or else payroll will not be run. Other paid work (i.e. monthly staff meetings) will be tracked separately and added to timecards by Tour Operations Manager.

GRATUITY

We promote the hard work of our team and encourage guests to leave gratuity for guides after an exceptional tour experience. Please see language in our confirmation emails to guests below.

You are welcome to collect any tips that guests choose to offer you at the end of your tour.

**Please do not directly solicit tips. One of our company core values is for every guest to have the best experience. We never want to pressure them to leave gratuity. That tactic is a great way to leave a bad taste in their mouth of you and BeerQuest.

The gratuity guests leave you is well-earned and yours to keep! We will not be reporting tips. Guest gratuity can be a great indicator of how guests are enjoying your tour. We’d like to use these numbers to help you evaluate any areas for improvement within your tour.

REIMBURSEMENTS

You will be given a company credit card to use for any business expenses. Please collect and keep record of all itemized and signature receipts (to be collected at each monthly staff meeting).

You will rarely be asked to put your own money into business expenses. In the event you do have to put your own money towards an expense, please collect and keep record of itemized and signature receipt. We will reimburse you the full amount of the expense at the end of each month.

Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) Alcohol Service Permit
The course fee ($12 Renewal or $15 Initial) will be payable to Oregon Alcohol Server Permit Training via PayPal (or your credit/debit card). This fee covers the online training and final exam.

There is a $23.00 permit application fee you must pay directly to the OLCC. This fee covers processing your application, a background check, and the issuing of your service permit.

In order to expedite this process, please use your own money to complete this training and certification. We will reimburse you for both the course and permit application fees.
